Harry Potter
Harry Potter has been at the top of the boards even though the weeekend take dropped 64% from the first debut. It is in 39th for the most money netted just in the first 12 days then any other movie made by warner bros. This movie has also allowed warner bros to break a billion dollars gross for the 9th year in a row. Fox was the first to break the mark then warneer bros and paramount and sony have yet to break the bench mark. i went to see Harry Potter the other day and i thought that it was pretty funny. It was deffinetly the funiest Harry Potter movie made becasue the humor was a little more grown up. But other then that I think everyone should see this movie in theaters.

I definitely agree that the newest Harry Potter movie is the funniest as far as more mature humor goes. I feel like in this movie the audience was geared towards young teens and adults. Some younger children who are fans of the books would probably not have understood some of the remarks made by the main characters: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermoine Granger. However, the action sequences would have kept them intrigued. I also think the director of this movie did a fine job in trying to develop the characters more. I could clearly see how they have changed since earlier films. Additionally, I think the ending of the film (for those who have seen it) was truly a way to keep viewers in suspense because it leaves people wondering what will happen next in regards to Harry Potter’s journey to find he who must not be named.
ReplyDeletei also saw this movie with a few friends. I never read the books or knew what was going on for this movie, but the people I went with were big fans so I decided to go. It was pretty funny but from an outside view of it, it actually seemed pretty boring. There really wasn't much action or intense scenes. It was all just talking for most of the movie to set up for a not-so suspenseful climax. The people I went with loved it though, so it's probably just because i never read the books lol.
ReplyDeleteI have never, and probably will never see a Harry Potter movie. I started reading the books in 4th grade when they were first starting to get hype and fell madly in love. I like my version, the one in my head too much to risk it being tainted by the movies. Haha. Weird, maybe. But! I'm glad there are those that enjoy the movies. :]
